NHL Chicago Blackhawks / Sac & Fox tribe
The NHL Chicago Blackhawks, in partnership with the Sac & Fox nation, retired a Blackhawk helicopter on tribal land. This historic event marks the first ever helicopter to be retired on tribal land! The helicopter was decommissioned and transported from Alabama all the way to Stroud, Oklahoma.
The Chicago Blackhawks needed a local videographer to capture the final chapter of the helicopter’s journey. Fireside Video was contracted to travel to Stroud and film the whole event. The helicopter was lifted by crane off the travel truck, re-assembled, then lifted onto three steel podiums. The podiums were adjusted to such a height that it displays the helicopter as if it were in flight and descending to land.
